There are 3 type of frequency measurements using PCI 6229. What is the range of frequencies can I measure using different types

Hi,

     I am trying to measure the frequency using PCI 6229.

There are three types of frequency measurement

1. Period/Frequency Measurement (Low Frequency with One Counter)

2. Period/Frequency Measurement (High Frequency with Two Counters)

3. Period/Frequency Measurement (Large Range with Two Counters)

Can anyone tell me what is the range of frequencies can I measure using the different type of methods.

It will be helpful if anyone suggest the good document to read for programming the counters of PCI6229 using LabWindows/CVI.

The best way to see the differences in the measurement types is with the article entitled "Quantization Error" in the NI-DAQmx Help (Start » Programs » National Instruments » NI-DAQ).  This explains the error you would see with each of the measurement types for various frequencies.
