Transition from USB cDAQ to ENET cDAQ

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi Community,

For some reasons I most likely need to change some of the USB cDAQ chassis I use to Ethernet based cDAQ chassis. I have some applications developped already on the USB platform and I am wondering how painful (if at all) migrating from USB to Ethernet. I assume besides assigning an IP to the chassis and configuring it in MAX it should be relatively easy.

Would be nice to know any issues I may face.

Thanks.

As far as I have seen, you just need to get everything configured in MAX and then it is seamless to all of your applications.  You may have to delete any instances of your USB cDAQ that are in MAX in order to reuse the virtual name.

The import wizard should allow you to select what is replaced.
