I´ve recently purchased the USB9211 device for acquisition of 4 thermocouple channels. I use LV 7.1, and installed the shipped NI-DAQmx Base v1.4. I first tested the device via the datalogging software. It worked ok, just one channel at a time, though.
After that, I run the DAQmx Base configuration utility to set up the TC type in each channel and create a new task.
Now comes the funny part: when trying to develop a VI to acquire all channels, I need the physical channel name as input to the Create Channel VI. But clicking in "browse" yields an empty list, as if it didn´t recognise the device (which is not the case, since it appears in MAX and the datalogging example works).
One detail which may help in the diagnostic is the green LED in the USB carrier: it blinks continuously. In other USB interface devices I operate (USB-GPIB cable) the LED is on when working properly, not blinking. Furthermore, the "extract USB device safely" doesn´t appear in the Windows taskbar, as did when using the USB-GPIB.
Does anybody have suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.
