Trying to add the cDAQ9185 to my project. It is not in the list.

I tried another cDAQ and get : Failed to connect

I can see it in NI-MAX, but that's it.

cDAQ-9185 does not have a controller. You cannot and don't have to add it to a LabVIEW project.

The DAQmx I/O resource will be able to populate the channels of the C Series modules installed.

Ha! I see. A cDAQ is different from a cRIO. Thanks ZYOng.

It is for sure. But not every cDAQ is equal. The cDAQ-913x series is a cDAQ chassis that you can add to a LabVIEW project and deploy a LabVIEW realtime application to. Not any of the cDAQ-918x though. They are pure DAQmx devices without any LabVIEW realtime capability.

Rolph,

Thanks for pointing that out. NI comes in many forms.

I noticed you also know a lot about IP-adresses, Modbus & Ethernet Hubs.

I may get in contact with you for that sometime.
