Hello!
I want to run Ni 6009 on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala (64bits)
I've installed LV8.5 but there is not present Measurement i/o package.
I've installed NIdaqmx base 3.4 (I think not properly) but I can't run lsdaq for device configutation.
Note: When the device is plugged in to PC , the green led starts blinking.
Any help will be appreciate.
Thanks,
Ariel

Hi Ariel,
The LED blinking once indicates that the device is working properly. It is OK.
Ubuntu is not an officially supported Linux distrtibuition for LabVIEW, but as you can see it can work.
One thing that you must ppay attention is that we have NI Daqmx base for windows, for Linux and for MacOS. They are different packages. You must certify that your NI DAQmx base is for linux.
Another thing, you can look at the NI DAQmx Base Getting Started Guide for a tutorial about installing NI DAQmx Base in linux. You can find it in the following link:
http://digital.ni.com/manuals.nsf/websearch/87D8789D5C7643F08625745600639739
If, even after installing according the guide, you can't program a data aquisition in LabVIEW, I suggest you try to migrate to a linux distribuition officially supported (openSUSE 11.1 and 11.2, Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS 4 and 5, or Scientific Linux 5.4 and 5.5)
Please, Let me know if you have any other trouble.
Best Regards,

Hi Rogrigo!
Thak you for your reply.
I going to verify if my NIDAQmx base is for linux.
I can run LabVIEW 8.5 on Ubuntu, but if I can´t run INdaqmx base, I will try to migrate to your suggested versions of Linux
We keep in touch!
