Even a simple unity gain buffer might ring (have some nasty (dampend) high frequency oscillations) . So maybe it's wise to add/include an analog aliasing (low pass) filter to the buffer and make it more stable with capacitive loads 😉
Have a close look with a scope and a low cap input probe (since active probes are expensive, a 10:1 should do the job) . And use a fast scope (I prefer old analog TEKs :D)
