Hello,
My 6221 daq's digital output is around 7.5v when on in the test panel (am hoping for the standard 5v). When run at 50% duty cycle (with the aim of a 2.5v output) the voltage is around 3 and unstable. The voltage seems to walk upward towards 4V then resets back to 3 and begins walking again. Is this a hardware issue? Are there any other things a may have overlooked? Is the daq damaged? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

How are you measuring your signal? Try taking the digital output (ideally 5V) and putting it back into one of your analog inputs. Then create a task or use test panels in Measurement and Automation Explorer to read the voltage. Also, try out all of your digital outputs and analog inputs to see if they are all functioning the same way.
If you have already done this I would recommend running the DAQ Diagnostic Utility. This utility tests the analog input/output, digital input/output and counter on your device to see if they are functioning properly.
