I am trying to upgrade my old PCI-1200 DAQ board to PCIe-6321 so we could upgrade to DAQmx and Windows 7 OS. The issue is that we have a custom built circut board with 50-pin male connector that is connected with PCI-1200 using 50-pin ribbon cable with female connectors at both ends. PCI-1200 has 50-pin IDC male connector. PCIe-6321 has 68-pin VHDCI female connector. The recommended cable NI SHC68-68-EPM (P/N: 192061-02) has male 68-pin VHDCI connector and other end with D-type 68-pin female connector. I need to connect using that D-type 68-pin Female connector to my custom board's 50-pin IDC male connector. There may be several ways to accomplish it but I would like to hear solutions from anyone who had solved this kind of connectivity issue.

Hello bopja,
It appears to me that the easiest way to do this would be to use the NI SCB-68 (P/N: 776844-01) connector block for the NI PCIe-06321. Then you should be able to wire in a 50 pin harness to the connector block any way that you would like.

Thanks, Joel. I am also finding the similar solution but using CB-68LPR (777145-02). With the cable SHC68-68-EPM (192061-02), I am hoping to get a small footprint with the custom circuit board. At first I was going to wirewrap between 68-pin connector to 50-pin connector. But I could not find source for a 68-pin wirewrap connector.I am in the process of ordering my items from NI and I hope to test it out once the shipment arrives.
