Use 4351 in Labview Basic

I have a PXI 4351 (with TC2-190 hardware) and can aqcuire temperatures using VI logger, but if I try to programme within Labview or search for examples, they all appear to be for the Labview Full development version. Does this mean I can't program the 4351 card in my own Labview vi without upgrading my Licence from the basic version? All of the NI435x sub-vi's appear to be missing.

Missing VIs have nothing to do with the LabVIEW license.

What version of LabVIEW do you have and what version of traditional DAQ do you have installed? Also, did you install the DAQ driver after you installed LabVIEW?

I have both labview 8.5.1 and 8.6.1 installed. I (thought I had) installed Traditional DAQ7.4.4, but having just searched my configuration I cannot find any record of it (I ran the setup utility - but it does not look like it intsalled anything?). I installed the 4351 driver after Labview, as it was purchased at a later date.

As far as I can tell, the driver for the 4351 is just traditional DAQ and if does not show up in MAX, then something went wrong with the installation and that would explain why you don't have any examples or functions on the Measurement I/O palette.
