Using the CD Based training in Ubuntu Linux

I'm new to both Linux and LabVIEW and I've been using the web to help me operate Ubuntu up to this point. I have installed LabVIEW onto this machine but I wish to use the CD Based training to learn the basics. Unfortunately it seems to be  Windows compatible disc and I do not have the expertise required to use this on Ubuntu. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello GioAvanti,

I am not sure of what is on the CDs, but you should be able to use that material in one way or another.  Are you having problems accessing the specific files because of the file types?  You can use Open Office for Linux if there are Powerpoint files on there.

If you run into a lot of problems, you can also view the web based training at the NI Academy.  There are two self paced options, the three hour course and the six hour course.  Hope these help.
