VB6 Still shows CWUI component as V6.0 even though the license fix shows V8.0

I ran the update for Measurement Studio 6 VB and my application Component is still showing 6.0. The license fix program says that the CW User Interface component is at V8.0

Hi tfer1226,

Im not sure exactly what you are referring to...
  1. What update specifically for Measurement Studio did you run?
  2. When you say Measurement Studio 6 VB, do you mean Measurement Studio version 6, or Measurement Studio for VB6?
  3. What do you mean my the application Component? What do you do to show 6.0?
  4. What license fix program are you referring to? Can you send a link to it?
Also, for further reference, you should post questions related to VB 6 in Measurement Studio in the Measurement Studio for VB6 board.

I did not post in the Measurement Studio because I'm not certain that the problem is with Measurement Studio or not.  We are using VB6 and Measurement Studio 8.01 (update for 6.0).  The link below is what we found:

http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/843/lang/en

I noticed that after performing the above update, I was getting 'Evaluation copy' displayed on my CWAI and CWGraph controls.  There was another link that we found with the MStudioLicenseFixer.exe program that was supposed to fix the problem.  When I ran the program, it did not fix the problem.  There was a different post that said to run

regsvr32 "c:\windows\system32\cwui.ocx.

This did not fix the problem either.  I noticed on our other fixtures that when I go into Project->Components to view the installed OCX's, National Instruments CW UI 8.0 is displayed, whereas on this fixture, its reporting CW UI 6.0.  The license fixture program listed above shows the CW UI as 8.0.  I think the problem is with VB6, but I'm not sure why or how to correct this.

Hi tfer1226,

The reason I suggested the Measurement Studio for VB6 board is because this question is totally unrelated to Multifunction DAQ, and so you're really not going to get as of a response as you would from the Measurement Studio board.

You mention that "Measurement Studio 8.01 (update for 6.0)."
What version of Measurement Studio do you have? You can check by opening up Measurement & Automation Explorer (Start»Programs»National Instruments»Measurement & Automation Explorer under the Software tab).
Did you have Measurement Studio 6.0 and install the 6.0 Updater that you linked?

What do you mean by a 'fixture'? Do you mean a different computer? If so, what version of Measurement Studio do you have installed on those?
