Which Object to select from "Select Object From Type Library" to create an "Automation Refnum" for a NI9474 channel?

Hello,

I want to use an automation refnum for each NI9474 channel. So I added an automation refnum control to the front pannel window. Then in order to associate an ActiveX object with the automation refnum control, which object I have to select from the Type Library dropdown [Select ActiveX Class >> Browse]?

Are you using the 9474 in a compactRIO chassis, or a compactDAQ chassis?

What are you trying to accopmlish by associating an ActiveX object with a 9474 channel?

Thanks for your reply. I am using NI9474, NI9263, NI9203 with a cDAQ9172. I want to control operation of 4 valves (turning the valves ON/OFF) using NI9474 and controlling the mass flow rate through these valves using NI9263/NI9203.

Also, how can I save and open a MAX configuration file using a VI in a labview program, for the hardware I am using? If I open this configuration file using VI, will refnums get created? For example, for a FieldPoint module, we have FP Open, Create Tag.vi. What are the corresponding VIs for a cDAQ9172?
