Why does my USB-6259 blink three times rapidly?

I have a USB-6259 connected to a PC with USB 1.1 ports.  The "Active" light will blink 3 times at a slow pace, and then three times at a faster pace.  The manual says blinking means the device is working, but I find it hard to believe that a triple blink means the same thing as a constant steady blink.  Does anyone know why this is happening, and if it will affect my data?  I am using this device to control temperatures, and do not really have room for much error.  Thank you.

Hi,

The USB-6259 has 3 blinks when connected toa USB 1.1 ports.  The more even blink rate happens when you plug into a USB 2.0 port. The main problem you would find is trying to take readings at the high end of the 6259s sampling rate.  You would have trouble transfering data quickly enough over the USB bus, but for a temperature application you should not need to read at the highest speed.  Please let me know if you need further help with this issue.

Have a great day,
