Windows can't find drivers for c9172

Ok either I'm an idiot or who knows.  I'm trying to install my new cDAQ-9172.  After installing the CD's that came with the system containing version 8.6 of NI-DAQmx, I followed the instructions of rebooting the system, attaching the 9172 to the computer via USB.  Windows picked up on the new device, but when I told it to automatically install the drivers, Windows could not find them!  Nor could I manually find the drivers.  According to the manual, the auto install should have found everything.  I'm at a loss right now...I have been searching most of the afternoon, but there has been no one else with the problem.  I'm downloading 8.71 right now of DAQmx, but that won't be ready until I get in tomorrow.  Anyone have any thoughts on this, or am I missing something obvious?  Thanks.

Hey Chris,

I believe the prompt you get when Windows first detects your device asks whether you want Windows to automatically search the internet for your driver and choosing this option, the search will probably not find the driver. Since you should already have the DAQmx driver installed you should select not to search and it should continue with the install.

Also, are you able to see the 9172 in the Measurement & Automation Explorer? It should be listed under Devices & Interfaces and if so is installed correctly.
