Hi,
I recently bought the NI-9207 module and want to read pressure from a 3-wire pressure transducer (Keller AG, model: PR 21 Y). The "Operating Manual and Specifications"provided by NI for the NI-9207 module is rather confusing and don't help me with the question of how to wire the pressure transducer plus the external power supply correctly.
My pressure transducer has a 0-10V output signal and needs 13-32 VDC power supply.
The wires coming from the pressure transducer are:
1 (white) = GND
2 (green) = +OUT
3 (brown) = +Vcc
From the external power supply I have 2 wires coming out:
white = +
black = -
Therefore I have 5 wires in total to connect to the NI 9207 module. According to the pin assignment of the manual, I have the following pins (which are important to me):
AIx+ ..... Each voltage channel has a + and - pin
AIx- ..... Each voltage channel has a + and - pin
COM
VSup
I don't know how to connect everything correctly, especially because my pressure transducer has only one output cable, but the NI-9207 module has a + and a - pin for each currernt input.
I attached the NI-9207 manual for reference.
Thank you very much for any help in advance!!
Regards,
Niki

I am not going to read the manual for the 9207, nor am I going to google for the transducer.
I would guess:
from the pressure transducer:
1 (white) = GND goes to PSU -ve and AI0-
2 (green) = +OUT goes to AI0+ only
3 (brown) = +Vcc goes to PSU +ve only
Connect a multimeter on volts setting instead of the 9207 AI0- and AI0+ to confirm operation.
But I'm afraid to say that if you are asking instrumentation questions this basic, then a copy of "The Art Of Electronics" by Howeritz & Hill would be a good investment.
