cDAQ1988

I have a couple of cDAQ1988 chassis that I've been using.  When I ordered my last one, I got a cDAQ1988XT instead.  As far as I can tell this is just an environmental differenc.  But when I try to use it in place of a cDAQ1988, it doesn't function.  I also tried it with NI MAX and it can't use it either.

Is there any reason that a cDAQ1988XT shouldn't work where a cDAQ1988 was working?

Does it require a different driver?

I can't really find any explanation for this problem.  I just know it's not working.

Hi Mike,

I'm going to guess that you need to update your DAQmx driver. Support for the 9188xt was added in DAQmx 9.8 so if you have an earlier version just download 9.8 here.

If that isn't the issue then it may have to do with your network. If you have DAQmx 9.8 installed and still don't see it, please post more information on your network and how your PC is connected to the 9188xt (switches, wireless access points, multiple NICs etc) and that may shed some light on what may be going on.

Cheers,

That did the trick.  Just updated DAQmx and the problem went away.

Thanks,
