connecting sensor pressure to DAQ

Hello everybody,

I have a question related to connecting a 4-20 mA pressure sensor to an NI USB-6002 data acquisition (0-10V).

I have used a current-to-voltage conversion module (Current To Voltage Module 0/4-20mA To 0-3.3V 5V 10V Voltage Transmitter) between the sensor and the DAQ. Should I use any additional components to protect the DAQ from spikes, such as a diode? Or can I connect the output of the conversion module directly to the DAQ?

Thanks for your assistant.

Typically, the current to voltage module should act as the protection between the sensor and the DAQ.

Do you have a link to the convertor you use?

If you are using this industrial environment, I recommend using a trusted industrial-quality current-to-voltage converter.
