I need to defeat the excitation on a 9233, I know that it is hardwired in the module but could one of the savy engineers that has access to the schematic/board layout tell me which components I can lift off the board to do this. It also would be nice to know how to defeat/remove the rest of the coupling features. I cannot afford a 9234 for a simple experiment I am trying to do and the excitation is interfering with my amplifier.

Hi subsolanus,
This question has been asked many times and unfortunately this is not possible.

h_baker,
Thank you for your reply.
Is a schematic available?
I have performed a number of board level mods on all kinds of stuff in the past and this doesn't seem to be a big deal unless there is something very subtle going on.

Unfortunately a board schematic is not available. There is an image of the input circuitry for a channel of the NI 9233 in the specifications. I understand this is not what you requested but it is the only available information.

The excitation is a fundamental part of how this board operates. Disconnecting the excitation, while it may be possible from a board level perspective, is going to push all of your readings out of spec at best, and completely wrong at worst.
Unfortunately, this isn't something that can be done by just removing or replacing components.
