Make sure the PCMCIA socket driver installed on your computer is the native Microsoft driver. Some laptop vendors install third party socket drivers. If that is the case, NI-DAQ might be having difficulties communicating with it (there have been numerous cases reported where third-party PCMCIA socket drivers do not work with NI-DAQ). I would suggest to uninstall the socket driver you are using, and install the native PCMCIA socket driver from the Windows installation CD. I hope this helps.
