digital port lines configured for output only rise to 2.3 volts when connected to encoder interface chip

For pci-6025e and labview 6.6, I configured digital port lines (port c) for output and set all pins high but they only rise to 2.3 volts when connected to encoder interface chip.  Does anyone have any idea what this issue might be?  I am using DI Port Config.vi and DI Port Write.vi.

Thanks

Hi unl2010,

So it appears that you are using Traditional NI-DAQ, correct? What happens if you do not have the outputs connected to your encoder interface chip? Can you measure the output voltage between the DO line and DGND? I am also curious what happens when you set all lines to low? How are you measuring the voltage output? Also, what lines of the port do you have connected? and what do you have the ine direction map and wired OR map inputs set to on your DIO Port Config.vi? If you code is not too involved, I would take a look at it if you wanted to attatch it.

Encoders are typically output devices, sounds like you are tying to output a signal into the interface chip. Are you simulating an encoder? Do you have the number of the chip you are connecting to or can you attach the spec sheet for it?
