excitation with high frequency

Hi,

I have a little problem with choosing an appropriate hardware. I have to make some measurement with a switching power converter and as you know its frequency is normally pretty high. To make my identification procedure working I have to generate an excitation signal (PRBS) with a frequency of at least 200 kHz. The sampling frequency should be around the same value. The length of the excitation data should be at least 0.3 seconds (i.e. about 65 000 bits).

My question is that which card would be the most approapriate one for this application? It probably should have some buffer where I can put the excitation. I have already NI6025E (1.25MS/s) which I could use. Can I do the measurements by using this one? I can use either the matlab or labview.

Hi Jussi,

I already tried to answer you yesterdat but it seems like the message is gone with the wind.

6025E has 200kS/s so I think that is not enough for you. I would recommend for example 6251 from M-series.

Please see detailed specs: http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/en/nid/14124
