how to use a encoder input block in simulink with pci 6221

i'm using a encoder input in real time window target in simulink with pci 6221.but, the problem here, the error was occured when i try to build the project.it warning that the selected board has no channel of this kind. why it this happen?

Hi,

Would it be possible for you to give a little bit more information on the error.  Was there an error number associated with it?  This happens only when you try to build a project or it happens otherwise as well?  Are you using tasks from Measurement and Automation Explorer?

Can you run encoder tasks in other environments, without errors?
