input channels

I am new to data acquisition, in fact this my first project. I am supposed to use an ADXL330 tri-axis accelerometer (together with its evaluation board) to measure shock and vibration. My problem is how to interface it to the NI-USB-6255, I am really confused about these things:Referenced single-ended input and non-referenced single ended input. I have a voltage of more than 1V from my sensor.

Have a look at the following tutorial:

Getting Started with NI-DAQmx: Main Page

And, have a look at Table 1 to understand how to wire up your signals.

Field Wiring and Noise Considerations for Analog Signals

If you have any specific questions, do post back. Don't worry you will pick up LabVIEW and DAQmx in no time.

i use adxl330 with ni usb 6008... but the tri axis voltage show in different level..how to calibrte these tri axis level to 0v in no acceleration condition?

Hi Samon,

Even at 0g acceleration, the adxl330 is designed to give u some voltage in each of the axes, I can't remember offhand but I think it is 300mA in the X and Y axes and 150mA in the Z-axis (U should check the ADXL330 datasheet) with a bias voltage of 3.0V. Therefore, u can not calibrate any of the axes to 0V no matter the acceleration. If u still have problems don't hesiate to conatct me.
