more max database connection errors

Hy,

Yes, I've also been having the max database connection error when trying to open the software folder in MAX for example.  Surfing NI help, the NI forum and the web I did the following :

- renamede the max/data folder

- disabled all my firewalls

- rebooted (several times)

- reinstalled labview

- renamed max folder (but this gave me some other fatal errors 😞 )

... and that's about all suggestions I tried so far I guess but nothing works. 

I noticed also that the 'config3' file some people talk about is missing in the data folder.  Is this the problem ? Mayby I didn't reinstall the right component then ?

I also have a cRio connected to my computer, but thisone doesn't appear in Max eighter.  All connections seem to work but my little bugger keeps on blinking to indicate he's looking for an IP address (which I can not give him as he's not in Max).

OK everyone, I found the problem myself 🙂

I switched off ALL my firewalls (windows and F-secure) and also the ENTIRE application control.  I previously allowed in there already anything that resembled to be somewhat related to NI or Max but apparently I missed one or two.  So by shutting this contol down completely, it worked !  ...  and don't forget to reboot !!
