I have an NI myDAQ that is a few weeks old. It worked for a while. I tried to use a usb hub yesterday, so I could place it on the table next to my desk. When I did, it began to connect and disconnect rapidly. I realized that this wouldn't work with a hub and connected back to my PC directly with the cable it came with. It keeps connecting and disconnecting every few seconds, making it useless.
I have uninstalled all of the NI software and reinstalled it twice. This problem persists.
I am using USB 2.0 ports. According to Windows, the drivers are up to date. I have tried multiple USB ports. I do not have another PC with the drivers loaded. It will show up in device manager on another PC with no drivers and not disconnect.
I have:
M/N: NI myDAQ
P/N: 195509F
LabVIEW 2014 Version 14.of1 (32-bit)
NI Device Monitor Version 1.8
Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) Service Pack 1 (build 7601)
The NI update service says that everything I have is up to date.
Does anyone have an idea of what can be causing this?
Thanks,
Matt

check whether the USB ports are being turned off by Windows for power-saving

The USB ports are not turning off. Other USB devices work fine. This is happening immediately after I plug it in (within a couple seconds).

It sounds like it's a driver issue. Which version of DAQmx do you have installed?

I have 14.0.0 installed.

I'm not sure if this will work, but can you try installing the newest version of DAQmx, version 14.1, and see if it solve the problem? The newest version can be found here:

I don't know NI's opinion but I would highly suggest not plugging a myDAQ into a hub. These devices can be very high speed, and need a decent amount of power to run. Routing them through a hub is a crap shoot and I wouldn't recommend it.
On test systems that need more USB I insist on having an extra PCI card for USB because of issues seen, and not just on NI equipment. Move all the slow devices to a hub, like mouse/keyboard/joystick and keep the high speed stuff as close to the motherboard as possible.

Mike, the links you posted show up as an error.
But putting that aside, it doesn't sound like a typical driver issue. Devices that do not have a driver don't typically disconnect from the computer. They stay connected but useless.
The myDAQ USB cable is a pretty standard USB cable. Do you have any other devices that could use this same cable? If so, can you try using this cable with those devices as well? That'll at least let you know if there's a problem with the cable.
You said it worked originally and stopped working. Did anything change in your system?

I bought another myDAQ, and it works fine with the same drivers. Something happened to the hardware.
