ni-daq 6.9.3 and fp-explorer 4.0.1

Hi
I want to run fp-explorer 4.0.1. but when I'm installing it my system can't find my DAQCard500 anymore. I'm running NI-DAQ 6.9.3 and LV7.
Is there any solution?
NI says there won't ever be any newer driver for DAQCard500 so the problem will keep on and on.. I'm quite disappointed about it, especially because I'm also using newer DAQCard and I want to use the new features of LV7.

Yves,

At this time, there are no known issues with running FieldPoint Explorer 4.0.1 with NI-DAQ 6.9.3. You should be able to install those two programs together. You want to be sure that when you are installing that you are only installing FP Explorer and not a newer version DAQ, as the last version of NI-DAQ to support the DAQCard-500 is NI-DAQ 6.9.3. If you continue to experience problems with this, please post a detailed description of the steps that you are taking to install these programs, and describe the difficulties that you are having. Alternatively, you can try installing FieldPoint 3.0.2 if you want to try a different approach to the issue that you are having.

The reason that you are experiencing difficulty with your system is due to the DAQ
Card-500. The DAQCard-500 is one National Instruments' older Data Acquisition Cards, and has been considered a "legacy" board since at least 2001 (the earliest year for which I have a catalog readily available). This DAQCard was replaced by the 'E' Series DAQCards, that offer a number of additional features. Starting with NI-DAQ 7.0 driver support for the DAQCard-500 was no longer included in new versions of NI-DAQ, due to limited usage and demand for these features. You may want to consider upgrading to an 'E' Series Card, which would be fully supported under NI-DAQ 7.x, and would allow you to utilize the new features of NI-DAQmx.

Thank you for your very good answer.
But I'm quite disappointed about the fact that a not even 3 year old hardware is no more supported.
Of course I could upgrade to an E-Series card but there is a lot of work to do around the upgrade (adapting the hardware-connections, updating the program, and so on.). And I can't spend that much time in already running applications.
As I said before I'm quite surprised about NI statement and expected a longterm solution. Not even microsoft doesn't make hardware obsolete that fast! And who tells me that I don't encounter the same problem in a few years with my E-Series cards?
