after installing ni-daqmx tools (version 1?), matlab 2008b says:
>> DAQ_Demo_Browser
Warning: Calling MEX-file 'C:\Program
Files\Matlab\R2008b\toolbox\natinst\daq\DAQ_Demo_Browser.dll'.
MEX-files with .dll extensions will not execute in a future version of MATLAB.
it otherwise works fine.
question: will ni-daqmx tools ever be updated for future versions of matlab? i'd like to use it with 2009b on a windows 7 64-bit machine. it currently does not work there, presumably because of the above warning. any work-arounds?
thanks,
ben

Hi Ben,
You should be able to use the NI-DAQmx Toolkits with any device supported by the NI-DAQmx driver. Since DAQmx 9.0.2, National Instruments has had support for Windows 7 64-bit. Please refer to this KnowledgeBase.
You may try updating your NI-DAQmx Tools and NI-DAQmx driver.

I can confirm the problem mentioned by the original post. I followed the instructions on the KnowledgeBase you refer to and nothing happens. The issue is not the OS, but rather NI-DAQmx Tools appears to require features that have been phased out of Matlab for the last two-three years.

The DAQmx Tools are not currently being maintained. I think instead you should probably look toward the Data Acquisition Toolbox if you are looking for integrating your data acquisition with MATLAB. This toolbox is developed and maintained by MathWorks.
