pci-60341-e blown fuse F1

What does F1 on the pci-6031-e card protect?   This card was received for calibration nicely packed in an anti static bag.  When run on Cal Executive 3.3 the counter function was good however neither the Analog input or the Analog output responded.  A visual examination located F1 and it measured open when tested out of its socket.  I am still waiting for replacement fuses to do the obvious next step.

On both the PCI-6034e and PCI-6031e, fuse F1 protects the +5V output pin.  This fuse being blown shouldn't affect the AI or AO subsystems, so it's possible there is further damage.  You might try running the DAQ Diagnostic Utility in order to see what errors you get for AI and AO operation.

The Fuse "protects" against accidental shorting of 5V to ground.  The same 5V is also used as a referance to the analog section and the AI/AO will fail to respond correctly if the fuse is open.  As Seth said- you may have caused other damage to the device however the fuse is supposed to help in protecting the more sensitive circuitry.  NI typically discourages end users from attempting repairs and the fuse is not considered a "replacable" part (you may void your warrenty).

Great name btw
