I’m looking into an OPC solution for data access to a NI-PCI6534 DAQ card. Is the NI-PCI6534 DAQ card compatible with the NI-DAQmx 8 software suite? I.e. will the OPC server work with the card?

Hello,
If the device is supported by DAQmx and is compatible with your version of LabVIEW, then the card will work with the OPC server (NI DAQmx 8.0 supports PCI 6534). Device support information can be found by searching the appropriate DAQmx driver (www.ni.com/support »DAQmx), navigating to the product page and selecting the "readme" document. Since OPC is inherent to LabVIEW, for further questions/concerns regarding the OPC, please create a new post in the LabVIEW forum.

Also, please note that the NI DAQmx 8.0 version you provided is for Linux (it supports NI PCI 6534). The OPC server implements several interfaces that depend on COM, a Windows-based technology, hence OPC is available on Windows platforms. As I mentioned earlier, for any questions/concerns regarding the OPC, please create a new post in the LabVIEW forum. Thanks.
