scxi bus not communicating

Hello,

I have a PXI-1050 Chassis and am using a PXI-4021 to commmunicate with the SCXI subsystem.  My current system and setup works fine.  My current system comprises of a PXI-4021, PXI-4060 multi-meter and two sets of SCXI-1335 attached to SCXI-1129, residing in the 1st and 2nd slots of the SCXI subsystem, configured to achieve an 8x64 matrix (expanded columns).  However when attempting to add a third set of SCXI-1335 + SCXI-1129, the rest of the system is unable to communicate with the new addition.

I have determined that all the SCXI-1129's and SCXI-1335's function (independently) and are not faulty.

After some testing it appears that slot 3 and slot 4 will not communicate with the rest of the SCXI subsystem.  I say this because when I take my current configuration of two SCXI-1335 + SCXI-1129's and put them in slot 1 and slot 2 of the SCXI subsystem, everything works as usual.  However when I move the two SCXI-1335 + SCXI-1129's, all of a sudden the terminals do not communicate with each other.  I further tried the combination of slot 2 and slot 4 without success.

I am quite sure that slot 3 and slot 4 of the SCXI subsystem work on their own because when using the Switch Soft Panel, the SCXI-1129's make the clicking noise when making/breaking connections through the Soft Panel.

I have tried deleting the entry and re-installing/detect the components several times without success.

I have also tried resetting the SCXI system with the reset button without much luck.

I have also checked the SCXI subsystem fuses and they are fine.

I'm not sure where to proceed from here, any ideas?

I am working with this customer offline to resolve the issue. I will post back with an update after a solution has been found.

Hey Mallori,

After speaking with Jared on the phone and some fishing around the VI, the problem I was having turned out to be a sub-VI needing to be modified to accomodate 3 switch matrices.  It also definitely helped to understand the significance of cabling rows 4-7 together in order to interpret the hardware's behaviour.  Anyways, thanks to you both for helping me piece together the puzzle of incorporating 3 switch matrices into my system!
