strain gage crosstalk

Hi, I have a cDAQ-9188 ethernet chassis with a 9235 quarter bridge AI module for strain gages.

I have 8 strain gage and I have connected all of them to the inputs of the module.

I am using the "Test Panels" in MAX to test the 8 inputs. The first 6 inputs are perfect: I can see the signal from the gages.

Unfortunately I have problems with the last 2 channels: it seems they are mixed together. If I chose for example channel 6, I can see the strain gage #6 and #7; the same happens if I chose channel #7.

In addition to this, I see signal only if BOTH gages are connected: if I disconnect gage #6, the gage #7 seems dead.

The first 6 channels, as I have already said, are perfect.

Any hint?

This is really strange. Does it only happen with the two last channels? Have you tried to change the inputs between the channels? In case you continue having errors in your measurements maybe the device is broken. In this case you can contact with technical support in order to send your device to be tested.
