streaming data looking for patterns

I need a card that can do streaming data capture , using 4 analog inputs, this is like a stream of channels of analog data. The voltage is about .100 .05 VAC (I can use make it DC, more digital). I want to store about ½ sec  image of each file. Can be a raw binary file. I then want to us C++ or VB software to look at these files and make a decision, based on the position and amplitude of the bits in the file turn on a Red, Green or Yellow LED.  I need to store as big as file as I can use. The file needs to  capture for about ½ a sec. somewhere close to ½ a sec. This is like capturing  TV white noise for a ½ a sec and storing it in a file. It is connected to a special Antenna, I'm trying to get a picture of the antenna, what it is seeing. I can up the gain of the antenna with an amp. Can anyone  recommend a product for my application and any off the shelf software? I'm looking for a pattern.Thank you

Bill

Hi Bill,

At what rate are you looking to acquire data on all 4 AI channels? This is going to be the most important spec that will decide what type of hardware you need.  For slower acquisitions, you can use our DAQ devices that will have your requirements and it would be a cheaper solution for you.

There is a high speed digitizer with that channel requirement called the NI PCI-5105 that may work for you, although you are on the very low end of its minimum voltage range so it may be worth increasing the gain just a bit.  There is also a PXI version of this card if you would like that type of system.  Both of these cards offer deep onboard memory between 16, 128, and 512 MB options.  These cards also have simultaneous sampling, so your acquisitions will be taken at the same time, is this preferred for your application?  You will be able to stream on this card as well.
