suddenly max can't detect my device

Hi, i have a PCI6224 which has worked fine for 1 year. Today I have switched off my computer without following the normal procedure (close labview, close windows). Now the board no longer works. Max can't detect it (the devices and interfaces menu is empty) although I can still see the DAQ board from windows control panel. What can I do? thanks for helping. bye Nunzio

Two things you may try out

  • Insert your DAQ card is another available PCI slot and see if it gets detected by MAX
  • Uninstall MAX / DAQmx device drivers, reinstall it and see if your device is recognised now

Thanks a lot Dev. In fact in the meantime I have solved the problem, I post here the process in case it can be useful for someone else. Click on: Start >> Control panel >> Add remove programs >> NI software >> Change. From the list select NIDAQmx. Click on "Repair" and insert the CD that comes with the DAQ board. When the repair process is finished, select Measurement and Acquisition explorer, click on "Repair" and do the same. Reboot the PC. Now it should work. Bye and thanks again. these forums are great.
