Hi,
I am using daqcard-ai-16e-4, bnc-2090, TDAQ 7.4.4, labview 9.0 and K-type thermocouple (reference temperature 30 degree C) to measure ambient temperature. However, when I hook up all these things, I recieve -76 degree C. If I disconnect daqcard and bnc-2090, I still get -76 degree C. Does that means there is no connection between daqcard and bnc-2090. What should I do? I can find that daqcard in MAX and create new task to measure temperature. What things do I miss?
Thank you.

Hi wuleo,
You said that you are able to create a new task in MAX to measure the temperature.
1. When you do this are you getting the correct value?
2. How are you connecting the DAQcard and the BNC 2090? Here is a document that goest through some steps to make sure it is set up correctly (page 2-6): https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/321183a/resource/321183a.pdf
3. When you disconnected the DAQcard and the BNC, what did you do? How did you get the measurement to get -76 degrees after doing so?
4. Are you using a pre-made example or code that you wrote yourself? Can you tell me about your code?
5. How are you configuring your TDAQ tasks?
Any clarification and additional information you can provide would be helpful for us to troubleshoot your issue.

Hi,
Yesterday, I cannot read any signal from the devices. Today, I re-plug all thermocouple and read reasonable temperature for all channels, but after a short time all channels cannot read signal, and I re-plug one thermocouple in one channel, then I get reasonable temperature again for all channels. What's wrong with my devices?
Thank you.

Hi,
By the way, so far I just use MAX panels test to read temperature. But I still cannot be sure when MAX reads no signal.
Thank you.

Hi wuleo,
I'm going to need as much information about your system as possible to start determining the root cause of your issue.
How do you have your task configured in MAX? The different Modes on the Test Panel will determine how long of a sample you read.
How long are you able to take data in MAX before it stops giving you good data?
Can you please tell me more about how you have your hardware configured. How do you have your card connected to your BNC 2090?
Were you able to follow the installation guide for the BNC 2090? (https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/321183a/resource/321183a.pdf)
The more specific details you can provide, the quicker we will be able to come to a resolution.
