test panels failed for max4.5 on usb6008

hi fellow ni users,

i m looking at testing an niusb-6008 using the test panels window on the max4.5 software to no avail. the installed nidaqmx is of version 8.8. i bought the usb6008 second-handed therefore no installer cd. i downloaded the driver nidaqmx8.8 and the max4.5 from the ni website which is of over 1G in size.

Hi Sarmin,

Can you try opening a test panel outside of MAX? Take a look at this KnowledgeBase about opening test panels separately. Also, after you get this error, does MAX close?

many thanks for your response.

running the nidmfpan.exe... separately from the MAX gave similar error report as running the test panel from the MAX. i have already tried to no avail three version of nidaqmx (version 9 (unable to support labview 7.1.1.), version 8.8 and version 8.7.1) in which MAX is integrated.

i m looking at testing the test panel on different computer. wondering if the problem is with the computer i am working on.

hi all,

the problem with the test panel is now sorted. i do not know what exactly happened but the followings are what i did in sequence:

1. remove all components of ni software

2. install nidaqmx 8.8 with MAX 4.5 integrated

3. run test panel on MAX 4.5, the test panel is working fine here

4. install labview 7.1 and the associated application builder

5. update to labview 7.1.1

6. reinstall nidaqmx 8.8 to integrate nidaqmx components into labview 7.1.1 platform

7. run test panel on MAX 4.5, the test panel is still working fine here

8. open a blank vi (labview 7.1.1) and test the DAQ assistance, the assistance is doing what it should do

9. problem sorted
