two 8 AI boards vs one 16 AI

Hi,

I need a DAQ board to measure 16 analog signals. With respect to the cost, it seems more reasonably to buy two 8AI boards than a board with 16AI.

What would be the disadvantages (or advantages, if any) of doing so?

NI has a comparison feature that lets you select hardware and compare their specs side by side.

Multifunction Data Acquisition

Things like bit resolution and speed are also going to make a big difference in price.  You also need to determine whether you just need Single Ended inputs or Differential.
