I have build an application + installer and installed it on a stand alone machine. All works perfectly, except that some error codes are stated as undefined, e.g. -20307, an analysis error. "Install custom error codes" has been checked (-20307 is not a custom error). How do I get error codes to be defined?

Hello Gerwin,
Can you please attach your installer, so I can have a look at the error?
Thanks,
Casper

How to attach something to a message? There is no option in the button bar.

The installer is too large to send. Here is the project file.
Is it possible that error codes are not copied if they are "borrowed" by my own vi's?

Helloo Gerwim,
Which version of LV do you use, 8.6 Proffesional Development? Do you use any Signal Processing VIs?
![]() | Note You must manually create an errors folder in the labview\user.lib directory to organize your error code files. |

Hi,
I'm back again.
The error list from which I use codes is in:
C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.2\resource\errors\English
As you can see I use 8.2.1
Since these are 'standard' errors, they should be copied.
I'll copy the files to the userlib-error folder

Hi
Copying files from the resource\errors folder to the project\errors folder made thing work.
So the problem is solved, but I'm not very happy with it.

Hello Gerwin,
First the best wishes for 2009!
Indeed, this is an unexpected behavior. Do you have the same problem creating a simple executable, can you reproduce it?
With kind regards,
Casper
