unexpected error in MAX after imported configuration

I had installed an application that on an other PC we have been using for several years. I had installed driver for GPIB-USB-HS from the companion disk.

After I had manually imported the content of the MAX from the older host PC to the PC with the new installation I get

an "Unerxpected Error - Measurement & Automation Explorer" message

further down in the window I see :

"The AsstntUI.mxx plug-in caused an exception in the CmxAggregateItemUI::GetViews function in the NIMax process. See this file for details: C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\MAX\Logs\20120911_160041-NIMax-00000EA0.log"

How do I fix this?

Thanks for the report, could you also include the two machine's OS info and MAX versions?

Have you tried exporting to a different file type and try importing?

Exported MAX config from old PC: XP 32bit; Max 4.6.2 to USB drive.

New PC: Win7 64bit;

MAX was installed by application Installer : MAX 4.6.2

I did not yet try to expost teh MAX config as *.ini, or *.txt yet.

I'll try that next.

Also, which versions of NI-VISA and DAQmx do you have installed on each?

Nathan,

I had finished installing all the drivers on the new system from my drivers disk that came with the most recent developer suite update.

This solution is probably not the quickest but it worked.

Everything seems to work now.

Thank you for your time and attention.
