usb 6009 no detected by PC

I am using a USB 6009 for several weeks with sucessfully results.
Today I connect it into a notebook which has not any NI software-driver. Then I tried to install it when windows detects a device.... and I can´t.
Then, I connect the device into the original PC where always run ok, and then green led lighs permanent, no blinks. So I seem the hardware device has been damaged.

Is possible a damage in a device due connect it BEFORE that the software is installed?

Any suggestions?

First you must install driver (NI DAQmx 8.7.1), after you connect the card to the USB port of your PC

I will try to connect again, but I think there is a damage because the led remains permanent and PC does not detect it.
