The device manager (Windows 7 (64 bit) OS) recognizes USB-6251 as a DAQ device but the icon has a yellow triangle with an exclamation symbol (on right click, the device status window says "The device cannot start. (Code 10)). As a result the Measurement and Automation Explorer also does not show a operational device NI-USB6251.
I have tried the same device on my other Windows 7 (64 bit laptop) and it works fine (tried a known input on Measurement and Automation Explorer test panel).
There is probably some program blocking the access to the driver. I even downloaded and installed the latest DAQmx version 9.5.1. I start the laptop with Administrator's privilege and USB-6251 switched on and connceted after boot-up.
I have made sure that the Windows Firewall gives access to NI Software. I have also ensured that the NI Device Loader has been restarted (even if it was already started earlier).
Any suggestions on getting the laptop to recognice USB-6251?
Thanks,

Unfortunately, 9.5.1 is not the latest version of DAQmx. Could you try installing 9.6? http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/3423/lang/en
