wireless router solution

We just got a WLS-9234 which communicates by a WLS-9163 carrier.  According to the data sheet, the 9163 is rated for 100m line of sight, which we have in our case.  We've tested it in the lab from carrier to laptop by an ad-hoc connection and everything is fine.  However, NI recommends, and I agree, to use a wireless router.  We need all 100 meters offered so the question is what router?  Does anyone have any experience with good results.  I spoke with Linksys and all their home routers are quoted up to 100 feet, not far enough.  We also need a one device solution since we won't have access to the area between the router and 9163.  We're looking at the Cisco branded routers but I thought I would see if anybody had any luck with certain hardware.  Thanks.

Howdy Jeff!

NI doesn't have a specific brand of routers that we suggest over the others for use with the WLS-9163.  I would suggest searching for online reviews of routers to see if any are particularly good or have any nasty flaws.  Personally, I think a Cisco router would be a good choice for your application.

Thanks for the reply.  From what I'm gathering most, if not all the home solutions routers won't cut it if we're looking to match the 100m range offered by the WLS-9163.  Unfortunately the range isn't a spec commonly offered.  I'll sort through some reviews and see if anyone mentions specific numbers.  I was hoping someone had already gone down this road.  We'll likely do some testing if no one here offers specific advice based on experience and I'll try to post what device we go with.  We're not in a huge hurry at this point.
