Hello,
I have two DAQ's (PCI 6111 and PCI 6052E, LabView 8.5) and i need to acquire data simultaneously from analog input 0 of PCI 6111 and analog inputs 1 & 2 of PCI 6052E. I read at http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4322 that i must have RTSI cable to physically connect this two cards to synchronize timing.
Is there any method to synchronize acquiring without RTSI cable?
Regards
Kacper

Hi Kacper,
Thanks for the post and I hope your well.
RTSI stands for Real-Time System Integration. It is a bus found on many National Instruments devices that, when cabled together with a RTSI cable, is used to share and exchange timing and control signals between multiple boards. It is usually used for synchronization purposes. This is the only way to get common signals between two different devices i.e. to share strat trigger and timing information.
What did you have in mind? and I guess what sort of synchronization did you need?
