Hello Mikko,
Thanks for the post back and details,
Its interesting and obviously not good, that you are running into problems like this. I have personally have used many different Cisco routers without any problems at all. You mentioned that you are using Cisco & Alcatel access points. Can you comment on exactly what modules you have used and or tried with similar problems? I would like to see if I can replicate what you are seeing. Also do you have any other routers available that you can try. Do you notice the same behavior on other APs?
Thanks for your time Mikko.
Cheers

Hey Mikko,
I also wanted to add that on this end, it would be very helpful if you could get a Wireshark capture of the 802.11 traffic when this happens. There is a guide here on how to do it. I believe you have to have a certain kind of wireless card in order to sniff the packets, but hopefully there is a laptop that can do this for us. This will allow us to see what is happening over the air with the security keys, and see if we can detect anything on our end.
Let me know if you will be able to do it.

Hello
We have noticed that when we use DHCP with the WLS-9163 it is not connecting good enough to AP. With DHCP device can drop from AP anytime and after reboot you can't be sure if the device is connecting to AP or not.
When we set up ip staticly without DHCP device is connecting fine with AP. Gladly this is the way we wan't to use the device. With static ip we can see still some errors reading the device sometimes, but it is minor.
So it seems that the device is not working nearly as it should with DHCP.
Thanks and regards

Hey Jari,
Please send me an email at kevin.harwood@ni.com. We are currently working on an update to the firmware, and would like to see if it resolves your problem.
Look forward to hearing from you.
