Why is there no balun in the component library?
Thanks, if you have one.

dbur,
A balun is basically a specialized transformer model. Please see this link as a good summary of these types of baluns:
http://www.minicircuits.com/pages/BalunApplicationNote.htm
Since you can create an ideal transformer simply using controlled sources, attached is an ideal 'Ruthroff' balun created from 2 ideal transformers (so it operates bidirectionally) using the same technique.
Using the Multisim model makers (in Multisim PowerPro) or by creating these specialized transformers with realistic values, it is possible to create 'real' balun SPICE models from transformer models. There are several previous messages that have discussed the creation of transformer models to assist you.

Thanks, I have the minicircuits appnote. I wish they would provide realistic models for their baluns. I'll check out that transformer thread.
I did find a model somewhere that I had trouble getting to work since it had - (dashes) instead of - (minus symbols) in it when I pasted it in. Someone showed me the fix in this thread, so now that model works.
