As I continue to route this very difficult board, the autorouter is doing some really screwy stuff. I've got some of the values set to keep the traces equidistant, and it does a very good job at first.
It seems to do a first pass just fine, then it begins to reroute the traces to make the final connections......it approaches 115 out of 118............
then......BLAM......it goes into this sudo ripup, initaial, retry random state and totally disregards all the setting to do some weird convoluded completely USELESS routing scheme and it puts it in a worse condition by NEVER EVER finishing my board...........ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHH
One way to reproduce this I've tried but it is really random to get it to do this was: Parts placed....my values needed.......the one way I triggered it repeatably was my initial clearnance values were 12 mils for ALL traces in spreadsheet view.....ran it......up to 117 of 118......never finish.......stop the autorouter, change all trace clearances to 13 mil........reroute, blamo, problem as described above........
Sometimes moving the components around on 12 or 13 mils will generate the same problem, but not always.......IT SHOULD be working like on screenshot 1 to 100%, but I'm getting crap, like 3 and 4.......
Anyone else seen this behavior? You can use my project from my vias thread to see it happen in real time.
PLEASE HELP!
