Can't switch from "Part grid" to "Copper grid"

In Ultiboard 13.0.1, if I use "Part grid" to align parts they don't align properly with eachother, so I want to use "Copper grid", but when I go to "Options>PCB Properties>Grid&units>Grid step name:", change "Part grid" to "Copper grid" and click "Ok", the changes don't remain. If I go back to check is "Part grid" again.

Why?

Ok, I got it all wrong. I thought a single grid is used, but there are multiple grids for various obejects placement (parts, traces, via and SMD).

Anyway, my issue is that I can't align components. Every once in a while a component is offset to grid. Why? How can I make it snap precisely to grid ? It's like each component has it's own grid and some of them are offset relative tot the origin.

I figured one way to fix this, but is a pain. You have to right click on each component, Properties>Positions, and set X and Y to 0, then place the component wherever you want, this way the component is relative to origin.

The problem is that initialy, parts are not placed relative to origin using the step size of the grid, they are placed at random positions. (i.e. X = 4908.68402 and Y = 4321.91677). And then, whenever the part is moved, the position is incremented/decremented with the grid step from that random initial position. This way the position is not a fixed number of grid steps relative to origin. This is ridiculous !
