Also, I do not have an entry under the Control Panel for NI Software.  I'm on XP, would that make a difference?

Oh, I think you do need the CD for repair. Apologise for my omission, you need to go to Control Panel->Add or Remove Programs->National Instruments Software. Select the correct NI product which is Multisim 11 and repair.

Thanks for the additional info.  I am working with (I mean 'waiting for..') IT to do this repair.  Will report back on what happened.
