Does purchase of the student version require Winduhs Exploruh?

I would like to purchase multisim, however I do not, will not, run windows. (Dr. Seuss said it was a bad idea and I have found it to be true.)

 

Does a purchase require the installation of the above mentioned POS OS?

The installer appears to require MS IE, but I don't know if it requires Windows Explorer.  I've tried installing MultiSim Pro 10.0.3xx on SuSE 10.3 using Wine without much luck.  I have not yet had a chance to try it with Codeweavers Crossover (www.codeweavers.com), but that may work for you.  If you attempt this, please let me know how it works.
