Duplicate pins in netlist

I changed the footprint on my SMT transistors and diodes and now I have a duplicate pin in each component that is causing a DRC error. What can I do to correct this?

It is tough to tell without looking at your file, is it possible if you post your file?    I know your project may be confidential but if you can cut out everything except for the area with the problem, I may be able to help.

OK, more information on the problem. When I change from an SOT23 footprint to an SOT23_3 footprint I end up with an extra pin. Pin 3 gets duplicated as an unconnected pin.
Strange.

I can see the problem with the footprint. Select Tools-->Database-->Database Manager, locate the footprint in the database (SOT23_3) and click on the edit icon (the icon that looks like a pencil).  If this component is from the master database, you need to copy it to the user database by clicking on the second last icon (copy the select item).  When you are in the footprint edit mode, just click on the pad 3 and press delete on your key board, this should leave one pad.  Now, save it by selecting File-->Save.  When you are in back in the main work area, click on one of the footprint with the DRC error and select Tools-->Change shape, you will get an option to change all footprint at the same time, select yes.

I tried that, but it wouldn't let me delete the pin. I finally just created a new part in the user database.
:?)
Thanks,
