Muiltisim and Ultiboard share the same file for the database, however the file is partitioned and looks for different places depending on which program you are.
If you are importing a user database, try doing a Convert from Ultiboard as well.
Otherwise, please give us more details...
1. From Multisim you see the components... except with no custom footprints?
2. From Ultiboard do you see your user database footprints?..
Check this link and see if it helps...

Chris, I'm not sure I did understand the process you were following to merge this new database. Please be specific:
1. Is this a version 9 database that you are converting and importing into version 10?
2. Is this a version 10 database that was created in another computer or license and you are trying to merge it to your current version 10 database using the Merge function?
3. Or, you are not doing anything of the above and you created footprints in Ultiboard that you can't see in Multisim? If so, did you checked the link I posted previously?
Please let me know so I can try to reproduce the exact procedure you are describing.

This seems to be the reason. PRZ files do not carry any footprints, they only carry footprint references. They are a Multisim-only feature. The correct way to migrate your version 9 User (or corporate) database to version 10, is to have version 10 run the Tools > Database > convert database function... locate the old v9 database on its original location and then run the conversion. Version 10 brings everything that is on your v9 database (components and footprints) into the installed v10 user database.
After running this procedure you should see in Multisim v10 your custom components and in Ultiboard your custom footprints.
